I. Product Introduction
The chain grate furnace is a layer-burning furnace with a high degree of mechanization. It is named because its grate is similar to a chain-type crawler. It is a furnace-type combustion equipment widely used in industrial boilers. The chain grate is a chain grate furnace, which is a type of layer-burning furnace and a mechanical combustion grate. The grate (also known as the hearth or combustion grate) is the core component of the combustion equipment and is mainly used for the combustion process of solid fuels (such as coal, biomass, garbage, etc.). It is a component used for stacking and burning solid fuels in thermal equipment such as boilers, dryers, and incinerators. The grate is mainly composed of a frame and grate plates. The grate plates are usually made of cast iron, and ventilation gaps are left between the grate plates so that air can enter the fuel layer for combustion.
II. Working Principle
The working principle is to drop the fuel from the coal hopper to the front end of the grate by its own weight, and slowly move from front to back with the grate, and enter the furnace through the coal gate. For chain grates or reciprocating grates, the fuel will gradually move forward with the movement of the grate and form a combustion layer of a certain thickness on the grate. Then, the fuel goes through four stages on the grate: drying, pyrolysis, combustion and burnout. The primary air (combustion air) is sent in from the bottom of the grate, passes through the fuel layer, provides oxygen and promotes combustion. The secondary air is sprayed in from the top of the furnace to ensure that the combustible gas (such as CO, volatile matter) is fully burned and reduce pollutant emissions. The ash moves to the rear with the grate, passes through the slag baffle (commonly known as eagle iron) and falls into the rear water-cooled ash bucket, and is discharged by the slag remover. The structural forms of the chain grate can generally be divided into three types: chain belt type, beam type and scale type.
