Focus on heavy equipment
A Guangxi feed production enterprise (with an annual output of 300,000 tons of livestock and poultry feed) uses a grate coal-fired hot air furnace with a multi-layer belt dryer to process high-moisture feed raw materials (such as soybean meal, corn, etc.). The original system had problems such as low combustion efficiency (only 65%), large temperature fluctuations, and high carbon content in slag (>15%), which affected feed quality and production costs.
The role of grate in feed drying
1. Combustion control:
Using mechanical movement to achieve uniform distribution and progressive combustion of fuel, the segmented combustion design (drying zone, main combustion zone, burnout zone) ensures full combustion, can accurately control the combustion rate, and match the heat load requirements of the dryer.
2. Temperature management:
Maintain a stable combustion temperature (800-900℃), and achieve precise control of hot air temperature (±5℃) through air distribution adjustment to avoid temperature fluctuations that damage feed nutrients.
3. Energy efficiency improvement:
The combustion efficiency can reach 80-85%, and the carbon content of slag can be controlled below 6%, supporting the mixed combustion of inferior coal and organic waste.
4. Long-term durability:
Special materials (heat-resistant cast steel) ensure long-term reliability.
This grate design is particularly suitable for feed drying processes that require precise temperature control. It can effectively ensure feed quality while reducing energy costs.
