Focus on heavy equipment
A starch processing enterprise in Dhaka, Bangladesh produces 38,000 tons of cassava residue annually. In 2023, our 2000 oil-fired hot air furnace was introduced as the heat source of the drying system, equipped with two-stage airflow drying equipment to achieve continuous processing of cassava residue from an initial moisture content of 70% to 12% of the finished product. The project adopts the following technical solutions:
Customized combustion system
Adopting dual-fuel design (diesel/bio-oil compatible), equipped with German EBM centrifugal fan, hot air output reaches 20,000m³/h, and the outlet air temperature is precisely controlled in an adjustable range of 250-300℃.
Energy saving optimization
The exhaust gas temperature is reduced to below 120℃ through the flue gas waste heat recovery device, and the comprehensive thermal efficiency is increased to 89%.
Localized adaptation
For the high temperature and high humidity environment in South Asia, the anti-corrosion treatment of stainless steel heat exchangers is strengthened, and the equipment has passed ISO8937 tropical climate certification.
Operational results
1. Drying efficiency increased by 40%, and the energy consumption cost per ton of processing was reduced by 52% compared with the original electric heating solution
2. 42,000 tons of cassava residues were processed annually, and the output of feed raw materials earned about 2.2 million US dollars
3. Certified as a "Clean Production Demonstration Project" by the Bangladesh Ministry of Industry
The project successfully led to the signing of equipment purchase intentions by 5 surrounding starch factories, becoming a typical case of green production capacity cooperation between China and Bangladesh under the "Belt and Road" initiative.
